Osmocheck - How

Place a drop of urine on the aperture and press start. The result will be displayed to within +10 mOsmols kg H₂O immediately. An excess of urine will not interfere with the results and the measuring surface may be safely run under a tap to clean it.

Osmocheck measures refractive index which is directly related to specific gravity and only indirectly related to Osmolality. For true Osmolality results an Osmometer, such as the Advanced Micro Osmometer, model 3320, should be used.
